Both LSU football coach Les Miles and baseball coach Paul Mainieri recevied some good news on Wednesday night when dual-sport prospect Maurice Hampton announced that he has committed to the Tigers.

Hampton is from Memphis, TN and plays cornerback and outfield.

The 5-11, 190-pound prospect from Memphis University School holds offers from Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Louisville and Memphis.

He joins cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. from Metairie, LA (Dunham School) as the only two members of LSU's 2019 class.

It is a long way to signing day 2019, but I am glad we have his commitment. I really enjoy pulling for dual sport athletes.
