Four-star strong-side defensive end Emmit Gooden from Brownsville, TN will visit LSU this weekend for the Arkansas game and is clearly excited for the trip, according to his tweet on Thursday.

Gooden, a 6-3, 285 pound prospect from Haywood HS in Brownsville is rated the No. 13 strong-side defensive end in the country and the No. 6 overall player from the state of Tennessee, according to 247 Sports' composite rankings.

He holds offers from eight different SEC schools including LSU, Alabama, and Tennessee.

Our D Line has been decreasing in size the last several years. It's about time we get back to the big hungry's clogging up the line.

After that bama game it's clear we need to change the style of player we recruit and Les/Cam need to start coming up with real attacking balanced game plans or LSU will never win anything of importance again. Our OL is talented enough to at least compete with bama DL. That didn't happen, and I could tell they were not expecting to win not were they competing. Maybe they knew what Les Miles didn't.... With this game plan we are doomed to fail. Bama put 2 325 pound boys in the middle basically playing a 5-3-3 and it worked to perfection. Sometimes you have to adjust what you do to eliminate the opponents strength and Saban IS THE best at doing this. We should have beat bama this year. We scored easily when we did it's just that we didn't attack that front correctly.
