Five-star LSU target Malik Newman will not take any official visits before he makes his decision according to his father, who spoke with the Clarionledger.com:

"For one, he really doesn't have time," Newman's father Horatio Webster told The Clarion-Ledger in the exclusive series Beyond The Game. "Now that basketball season is over with, I don't think he'll take visits. If he does, fine. If not, that's fine too."

"I kind of look at it the same. I can take my time and just play my ball game right now because it's kind of in my hands right now," Newman said in late March. "The only pressure I feel about it is knowing that my April will be busy, so where do I squeeze in time to take all of my officials?"
Kentucky, LSU, Kansas and Mississippi State are all in the hunt for Newman who is currently the No. 1 guard in the country and the No. 4 overall prospect according to 247 and ESPN.

Newman has not set an announcement date at this time.

The one team that can hone his skills even better would be LSU where he would not have to share time with anyone and run point.

he's already stated he has just the NBA on his mind and says he's one and done, seems he doesn't really care much about what college he goes to... this is my theory on why he's waited so long, it's not a priority to him
