LSU signee Lucas Nawrocki, a two-way standout from Aledo High School (Texas), announced Friday night that he has withdrawn his name from the MLB Draft and will be heading to Baton Rouge.

Nawrocki is a 5-foot-11, 190-197 pound left-hander who bats and throws left-handed. While he's talented enough to contribute as both a pitcher and position player, most scouts believe his quickest path to making an impact at LSU will be on the mound.

He features:

-Fastball up to 94-95 mph
-A high-spin slider (around 3,200 rpm) that some evaluators considered one of the best breaking balls in the 2026 draft class
-A developing changeup
-A deceptive three-quarter arm slot that creates difficult angles for hitters.

At the plate, Nawrocki is also an accomplished hitter. During his senior season, he helped lead Aledo to the Texas 5A State Championship, batting .421 with a 1.236 OPS, nine home runs, and 15 doubles. His power showed up at the MLB Draft Combine as well, where he reportedly produced exit velocities up to 109 mph.
