LSU right-handed pitcher Jaden Hill was selected by the Colorado Rockies with the 44th pick in the MLB Draft on Monday.

Hill, a 6-4 junior from Ashdown, Ark., entered the 2021 campaign as a Top 10 prospect in the draft but suffered a season-ending injury when he tore his ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow on April 2 against Vanderbilt.

His freshman season was cut short due to a shoulder injury followed by a canceled season due because of Covid-19.
