Ten LSU Baseball Players Named To 2021 SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll

TEN LSU BASEBALL PLAYERS NAMED TO 2021 SEC SPRING ACADEMIC HONOR ROLL
BATON ROUGE, La. – Ten LSU Baseball players were named Thursday to the 2021 Southeastern Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll.
The 2021 Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll includes the sports of baseball, golf, softball, tennis and track & field, and it is based on grades from the 2020 Summer, 2020 Fall and 2021 Spring terms. A total of 1,615 SEC student-athletes were named to the Spring Honor Roll Thursday by league Commissioner Greg Sankey.
The LSU baseball players honored by the SEC include infielder Zach Arnold (General Business), pitcher Matthew Beck (Master of Business Administration), outfielder/DH Cade Beloso (Sport Administration), outfielder Giovanni DiGiacomo (Microbiology), catcher Braden Doughty (Sport Administration), outfielder Gavin Dugas (Sport Administration), pitcher Aaron George (Master of Liberal Arts), pitcher AJ Labas (Sport Administration), catcher Alex Milazzo (Sport Administration) and catcher Hayden Travinski (Sport Administration).
Any student-athlete who participates in a Southeastern Conference championship sport or a student-athlete who participates in a sport listed on his/her institution’s NCAA Sports Sponsorship Form is eligible for nomination to the Academic Honor Roll. The following criteria are followed:
(1) A student-athlete must have a grade point average of 3.00 or above for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution.
(2) Prior to being nominated, a student-athlete must have successfully completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial academic credit toward a baccalaureate degree at the nominating institution.
(3) The student-athlete must have been a member of a varsity team for the sport’s entire NCAA Championship segment.
