LSU To Retire All-American Todd Walker's No. 12 Jersey In 2017

It was announced Friday that the LSU Hall of Fame Committee has unanimously approved the retirement of the jersey of all-America second baseman Todd Walker who played for the Tigers 1992-1994 and was a part of the 1993 National Championship team.

The jersey will be retired in a ceremony prior to a game during the 2017 baseball season. Per LSUSports.net:

We look forward to having his jersey number take its place among those of LSU legends.”

Walker was one of the greatest hitters in SEC history, excelling for three seasons (1992-94) at LSU. A two-time first-team All-American, he led the Tigers to the national championship in 1993, earning the College World Series Most Outstanding Player award. He was voted in 1996 as the second baseman on the all-time College World Series team by the Omaha World-Herald, and he was named to the CWS Legends Team in 2010.
