SERIES RECORD VS. GEORGIA
LSU leads the all-time series with Georgia, 68-24-3, and Tuesday’s game marks the first meeting between the schools since March 22-24, 2019, when UGA won two of three games over the Tigers in Athens. LSU has won 10 of its last 13 SEC regular-season series versus UGA, and the Tigers have an 17-9-2 advantage over the Bulldogs in games played over the past 12 seasons. Tuesday’s game marks the first LSU-Georgia matchup in the SEC Tournament since 2009, when the Tigers won two tournament games over the Bulldogs. LSU is 9-2 all-time versus Georgia in SEC Tournament games.

LSU has a league-best 88-44 (.667) all-time record in the SEC Tournament, and the Tigers own a conference-high 12 tournament titles … Alabama and Mississippi State are second behind LSU with seven tournament titles … LSU has won six of the past 12 SEC Tournament crowns, claiming the title in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2017 … the Tigers are 38-10 under 15th-year coach Paul Mainieri in SEC Tournament games ... at the last SEC Tournament held in 2019, LSU posted a 3-2 record and was defeated by Vanderbilt in the semifinal round … LSU has reached the semifinal round in seven straight SEC Tournaments (2013-19).

Paul Mainieri
LSU coach Paul Mainieri is No. 1 among active NCAA Division I Baseball coaches with 1,501 career wins in 39 seasons (six seasons at St. Thomas, six seasons at Air Force, 12 seasons at Notre Dame and 15 seasons at LSU) … Mainieri is No. 7 all-time among NCAA Division I Baseball coaches with the 1,501 career victories … LSU’s 13-6, 12-inning win at Texas A&M on May 21 marked the 1,500th victory of Mainieri’s collegiate career – he is only the fifth NCAA Division I Baseball coach to win 1,500 games and a national championship – the other four who have accomplished the feat are Augie Garrido (Cal State Fullerton/Texas), Gene Stephenson (Wichita State), Jim Morris (Miami) and Mark Marquess (Stanford).

Cade Doughty
Sophomore third baseman Cade Doughty led LSU to a series win at Texas A&M over the weekend, batting .333 (5-for-15) with one double, one homer, six RBI and three runs scored … he also recorded 13 assists on defense and posted a 1.000 fielding percentage in 15 chances … in the Tigers’ Game 2 win over the Aggies, Doughty doubled, homered and collected five RBI … his two-out, three-run homer in the fifth inning erased a 6-3 deficit and the game remained tied at 6-6 until the top of the 13th, when Doughty’s two-run double highlighted a six-run outburst in the 12-6 LSU victory … he added an RBI single in the fourth inning of LSU’s 8-2 win over Texas A&M that clinched the Tigers’ third straight SEC series victory … Doughty is No. 5 in the SEC in RBI this season with 53.

Tre’ Morgan
Freshman first baseman Tre’ Morgan is hitting .431 (25-for-58) in his last 13 games with three doubles, one triple, one homer, seven RBI, 17 runs and four stolen bases … he hit .375 (6-for-16) in last weekend’s series win at Texas A&M with one double, one RBI and three runs scored … Morgan is No. 3 in the SEC in cumulative batting average (.370), No. 1 in hits (80), No. 1 in runs scored (59), No. 4 in triples (4), No. 2 in doubles (15), No. 3 in on-base percentage (.461) and No. 5 in stolen bases (14).

Gavin Dugas
Leftfielder Gavin Dugas homered twice, drove in three runs and scored three times in last weekend’s series win at Texas A&M … Dugas posted a .571 on-base percentage in the series, as he walked three times and was hit by a pitch on three occasions … he is No. 2 in the SEC in RBI this season with 60, No. 4 in home runs (16), and No. 8 in slugging percentage (.617).

Dylan Crews
Freshman rightfielder Dylan Crews enters Tuesday’s game versus Georgia riding an eight-game hitting streak … Crews is No. 9 in the SEC in batting average (.347), No. 6 in hits (74), No. 4 in runs scored (56), No. 3 in total bases (129), No. 7 in on-base percentage (.448) and No. 6 in walks (37).

Ma’Khail Hilliard
Senior right-hander Ma’Khail Hilliard clinched LSU’s series win over Texas A&M on Saturday by limiting the Aggies to two runs on six hits in seven innings with no walks and two strikeouts … he blanked Texas A&M through the first three innings and allowed only single runs in the fourth and sixth innings … since moving into the weekend starting rotation four weeks ago – when he defeated top-ranked Arkansas – Hilliard is 3-0 with a 2.59 ERA in 24.1 innings with four walks and 18 strikeouts … he is limiting opponents to a .186 batting average in that four-game span.

Landon Marceaux
Junior right-hander Landon Marceaux is No. 3 in the SEC in cumulative ERA (2.04), and he is No. 2 in the league in innings pitched and No. 8 in strikeouts (98) … Marceaux posted a streak earlier this season of 33.2 consecutive innings without allowing an earned run.

ABOUT THE BULLDOGS
·Georgia is 30-23 overall and recorded a 13-17 mark in SEC regular-season games … the Bulldogs finished fifth in the SEC Eastern Division … Georgia is hitting .275 as a team with 56 homers and 21 steals in 31 attempts … the Bulldogs are No. 9 in the SEC in cumulative batting average.
·The Bulldogs are led at the plate by infielder Josh McAllister, who is batting .352 with six doubles, one triple, nine homers and 29 RBI … infielder Connor Tate is batting .344 with six doubles, one triple, 10 homer and 33 RBI … catcher Corey Collins has team-highs of 13 doubles and 35 RBI.
·The UGA pitching staff has a 3.87 cumulative ERA and the Bulldogs are limiting opponents to a .226 batting average … Georgia is No. 5 in the SEC in team ERA … senior left-hander Ryan Webb is No. 7 in the SEC in opponent batting average (.198)
