LSU Baseball head coach Jay Johnson spoke to the media this weekend a provided some updates on pitchers Chase Shores and Jaden Noot.

Johnson said both Shores and Noot are recovering from Tommy John surgery and have already begun throwing bullpen sessions.

Before the season, Johnson said that Noot was already throwing bullpens and was hopeful he could return to the field by late March or early April. The Oak Park, Calif. native is a redshirt freshman.

Shores, a redshirt freshman from Midland, Texas, appeared in seven games last year as a weekend starter and primary reliever before injuring his elbow on March 31. He underwent surgery in April of 2023.
