Former LSU Baseball coach Smoke Laval was fired by North Flordia on Wednesday after seven years as head coach. Per NOLA.com:

Laval, an assistant under LSU legend Skip Bertman and LSU's head coach from 2002-06, was let go after the Osprey went 33-24. Laval compiled a 237-160 record in his seven seasons at the Jacksonville, Fla., school. His best season was 2015 when the Osprey went 45-16 and won the Atlantic Sun Conference title. Laval was named the league Coach of the Year.
