LSU freshman shooting guard Cam Thomas was named Newcomer of the Year by 11 writers who cover SEC Basketball for the USA Today Sports Network.

Thomas, along with sophomore forward Trendon Watford were named to the All-SEC first team, while junior guard Javonte Smart was named to the second team. Per LSUSports.net:

Based on these accomplishments we should be better... but, this also means we are capable, which gives me just enough hope to stay interested.
