John Curtis sophomore pitcher/outfielder Daniel Cabrera has committed to play baseball for LSU. Per Nola.com:
quote:
Cabrera said Wednesday that he delivered his commitment to Coach Paul Mainieri via telephone after choosing the Tigers ahead of Vandebilt, TCU and Tulane. Cabrera also considered Florida and North Carolina.
“He was all happy,’’ Cabrera said of Mainieri while noting that he first contacted LSU assistant coach Andy Cannizaro to share his decision. “Right now, (Mainieri is) in Colorado on a skiing trip with his family. But he was all happy.
“He said in a few years we’re going to win a national championship.’’
