Weber Trying to Save Kings From Moving
by Larry Leo

Tonight might be the last NBA game played in the city of Sacramento for a long time. After this season the Kings are to move on up to Anaheim. Last night during TNT's Inside the NBA post-game show after the Lakers/Spurs game, Chris Weber broke his own news that he and a group he has put together are trying to keep the team in Sacramento. I was actually watching this live. Co-hosts Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley were hearing this for the first time. Weber openly said that saving the team was selfish, in that he wanted to see his retired jersey hung in an area. And that the city and fans deserve to keep their team.
This could be too late in the game for Weber to save the Kings, but who knows? You'd think former Suns point guard and now Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson would do more to help him and the cause.
Click here to see if Weber has one more Sacramento buzzer beater in him.
