Nebraska freshman QB Bubba Starling has been drafted by the Kanas City Royals and is not reporting to football practice until at least August 15, the deadline for him to sign with the Royals. Until then he's weighing his options between football and baseball. Coach Pelini said...

"Obviously, he has got a lot at risk," Pelini said. "We communicated with the family about the best way to go about it. We're all on the same page."
Starling is a 6-foot-5, 200-pound power-hitting outfielder who was drafted by the Royals at No. 5 overall in June. Football-wise he rushed for 2,471 yards and 31 touchdowns his senior season and was listed among The Associated Press Top 100 Recruits.
