Former Florida defensive back Gregory Smith committed to North Carolina out of the transfer portal this week.
The former four-star recruit from Sebring, Fla., played in three games during his freshman season last year, totaling five tackles and one pass breakup.
Only playing in three games allowed him to preserve his redshirt, giving him four years of eligibility moving forward.
