Per SEC Sports: Arkansas held off Vermont, 75-71, in a tight first-round contest to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday.
The Razorbacks, a No. 4 seed in the tournament, got about all it could handle from the 13-seed Catamounts.
Stanley Umude led the Hogs with 21 points and nine rebounds. JD Notae added 17 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, with all of his points coming in the second half.
