Alabama head coach Nick Saban doesn't expect cornerback Minkah Fitzpatrick to play Saturday against Charleston Southern after he suffered a sprained knee during the Mississippi State game.

Saban announced the news Wednesday and said that Fitzpatrick has not practiced this week. Per AL.com:

"Minkah's not able to practice and is day-to-day. Probably won't get enough reps this week to play in this game," Saban said. "We're hopeful that we'll be able to get him back after this week. But when you're day-to-day, you've got to see how he responds, and that's not something we can predict right now."
Sophomore Tony Brown and junior Maurice Smith are both competing to replace Fitzpatrick until he can return.
