Teams reaching doesn't ruin the draft; it makes it more interesting.
Reaching for a QB is understandable - you need a good QB to win (the Dilfer anomaly notwithstanding). You can win being mediocre at other positions: see 2x Superbowl Champs Chiefs at WR and RB.

I rarely watch shows like this, but tuned in because of Goggins and some good word-of-mouth.
The show is interesting, Goggins is entertaining. I just wish the show were more exciting/gripping. ...

No chance. This is clearly what they SHOULD do to compete with Texas.
But you will need tax revenue, so the other taxes will have to be increased (property tax); but more significantly, they will have to be firm.
That is, no more corporate welfare through the tax code.

He's a 4th round guy, but I think he'll go in the 3rd. He's a little murky, as he played at less than 100% most of 2023.
Teams reach a bit for a QB, and using a 3rd instead of a 4th isn't a huge opportunity lost....
