re: Has anybody looked at Tim Tebow's minor league numbers recently? - LfcSU3520
This may even be lower quality baseball than you find in the upper tiers of the SEC (usually equivalent to A ball type quality of play).
it's not. Low A ball is quite a bit better than the highest levels of SEC baseball. ...

re: Let's assume WB started over with Superman - LfcSU3520
Superman should never seem like he's miserable being Superman. In the Snyderverse, he seems almost completely joyless
this one of the great things about MOS was showing him and angsty in his own skin and feeling like an alien as he grew up. I thought that was a great idea and so...

re: CPM needs to give the team off all week - LfcSU3520
He should tell them to go away, do whatever, show up for the game tomorrow night, and be back 2 hours before the weekend series. Perhaps get away and refocus. Come back ready to play for the enjoyment of the game. It's like they are stuck in a rut and pressing way to hard.
you go...

re: Mike Trout may be the last of the All Time Great Hitters in MLB History - LfcSU3520
For a while at least. NO ONE sniffs a high level of offensive WAR at such a young age. Not even close. The time of the Ken Griffeys, Barry Bonds, Will Clarks, Alex Rodriguezes, Albert Pujols, Miguel Cabreras is coming to an end. SAD.
what in the hell Seager was a 7.5 WAR ...

re: How do you know when your kid has "it" in sports? - LfcSU3520
there is no great answer to this thread because everything is relative. An 8 year old in his local league can have the it factor there but not at the state, national level etc. Age, growth, access to coaching/facilities... There's just too much to quantify here. I know guys who barely played...

re: How do you know when your kid has "it" in sports? - LfcSU3520
You don't want your kid to be a badass at 12. You want them to be pretty athletic, mainly having good feet....and a large frame in which to grow into.
so much this. Plus you need to see that they have a passion for competing and getting better. Without those two it's just a b...
I watched that episode last night. Dr. Spaceman is one of the GOAT minor characters of all time.
hands down "Is it 911 or 411? I can never remember...New York. Um... diabetes repair?" have a laughing fit at that line every time ...

re: Does Poche' have the stuff at the MLB level?? - LfcSU3520
Off topic, but am I wrong in looking at Rockies lineup and seeing it as filthy talented if everyone remains healthy? 1 through 7 gives virtually no breaks.
you're not. Especially for lefty starters. It's going to be a beast to get through. Add in Coors and frick all of that nois...

re: Does Poche' have the stuff at the MLB level?? - LfcSU3520
you get it a guy throwing 95+ can make a few mistakes a game and get away with them. someone throwing 85-88 can make almost none. It's why they're so rare (unless they throw in an incredibly deceptive way). Every single day the game becomes more velo driven because pure numbers bear it ou...

re: Does Poche' have the stuff at the MLB level?? - LfcSU3520
I love the Glavine comp. Using a hall of famer as a comp is always the best place to start. Slow lefty= Glavine. slow righty= Maddux. All ignoring the valid points you brought up about actual velos. ...

re: Does Poche' have the stuff at the MLB level?? - LfcSU3520
Your responses have been perfectly fine. Poche will leave LSU as the all-time leader in career wins, and he is an outstanding college pitcher. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if he'll ever climb the professional ladder and pitch in the big leagues. Those pitchers that get to that level have ungod...

re: Why do football players want to play so close to home yet...? - LfcSU3520
that could just be the quality of the program. It's not so much trying to win at the school, but access to the best coaches then setting you up for longer career success. ...
