Going on a limb but feel confident saying we'll look at him as the best hitter we've ever had at LSU when all is said and done.

Just wanted it noted somewhere. He's really special.

This is a new level of emotional.

The kid is good but you’ve seen 3 games and your ready to call him the greatest ever? Jesus

Who did I miss besides Chris?

ETA. I’m an idiot. Hey BMac. Love your thread.

Not emotional at all.

Digging on his ABs and they were advanced beyond what you see from most college hitters. That's typically a good thing you see.

It’ll be interesting to see how he adjusts to SEC pitchers giving him nothing

His plate discipline is off the charts for a freshman. Taking a four pitch walk with all off speed and some of them close. Not trying to do too much. Oppo power. Speed and an arm.

I think he'll be ok with it. His takes were really good this weekend. Just doesn't expand much and goes for the throat in the zone but you're right that'll be something to track just in terms of mental patience if there's a trend.

I like that he isn’t just swinging out of his shoes. He’ll hit a rough spot eventually and probably press a little, but if he doesn’t let it get him into a total funk even SEC pitchers are going to have trouble with him.

I know we were all saying him and morgan shoukd switch in the lineup but having him lead off in SEC play so they either have to try to get him out or put him on base seems like a pretty good option.

like it was nothing. Top of the zone, flat path to get there- super Bregman-esque.
