best to buy lift tickets online beforehand or when you get there? What website do you use if I need to buy them online?
Yes
If you are skiing more than 5 days it is cheaper to just buy a season pass (epic pass)
A 4 day pass for vail resorts is $399 if you buy online ahead of time
A daily lift ticket for Breck is like $130 now I believe, Vail is like $170

I might actually be going to Snowglobe in South Lake Tahoe for New Years with a big group of friends. Haven't been to Tahoe yet. Sucks those dates are restricted on my Epic Local pass though.

I was thinking about snow globe , they always have a great lineup, but I hear a lot of bad things about the fest. And I hear it's cold as shite, surely I can wear some kind of heated suit!

ABasin has set and fired up their snow guns for testing.

How's Park City in terms of skiing and night life? I'm planning a trip around Mardi Gras for a bunch of 25-30 year old friends. I've only skied once in Breck

Tough to beat Breck nightlife. But Park City is good as well.
I havent been to Park City since they merged with Canyons but I can only assume its great
Park City is nice because it is so close to the SLC airport

This.
Canyons and Park City are now connected. We've gone the last couple of years since Canyons was first added to our pass. While the nightlife isn't as good as Breck, there is still some solid nightlife and plenty of restaurants. Park City is a sweet town.
It's a lot of acreage with the two resorts being connected now, the snow is generally a little heavier than CO snow, lower elevation, less vert, but still plenty of fun terrain for all levels.

Park City is a very cool, quaint town with one of the best skiing in the world. Definitely is the largest with the Canyons and PCMR connection now. Imo it has great night life, second only to Breck. You won't be bored. Another huge plus is Deer Valley which is skiers only. So you can avoid those pesky boarders

Interested in Colorado Ski Trip. Any suggestions for some smaller maybe off the beaten path locations(i.e. not Vail or Aspen)? I have a friend that lives in Steamboat so that is one probable location. Budget friendly if possible. Beer will be a big 2nd to skiing.

Steamboat is great.
Look at Crested Butte and Telluride as well if you dont want a megaresort

What would y'all recommend for a group of 25-30 year olds between Steamboat, Park City/Canyons, and Breck? I've been to Breck and enjoyed it, just looking to try something new, but wouldn't mind going back again. Steamboat seems cheapest but 3-4 hour drive from Denver. Any other places to looking into?
