Peachtree Audio Deepblue 2 is the only wireless bluetooth device worth getting.

you are mostly paying for labeling on beats I think. Stay away from products like that.

I have the minilink I love it. I think you can find better products out there but you will be happy with bose.

500 bucks is a lot of money for most people.

This guy is considering an 120$ bose speaker, or 200 pill.

One thing that's annoying about this board. Everyone thumps their chest on top of line products while ignoring what the OP is looking for.

Happens on every board I frequent. It cannot be stopped.

I don't know which is better, but I have the UE Mini Boom and it works great.

Here are some of the best reviewed wireless speakers.

I listed a $100, better quality alternative.

Thanks for everyone's input. Im not a fan of beats but I can't seem to explain this to my daughter. I guess it is a status symbol thing. I've heard good things on the UE and the Bose and I can get those for same price. I hate shelling out $200 for a pos whenI can get better quality.

Better go ahead with the beats pill then. I am against all Beats stuff but she won't be "cool" without it. She probably won't notice the difference in quality anyway.

Have owned the JBL mini and larger one and recently bought the Boom. I tested against the Bose and for me, a portable blue tooth speaker needs to have some durability. Plus, I like the way it sounds, much better. I have AirPlay function and speakers all throughout my home so I don't need a portable speaker for use at home.

I bought this speaker a few days ago when it was on sale for $150.00. It went up slightly this past Sunday, but after hearing it, I'd have gladly paid $200-$250 for it. I was looking for a speaker with deep bass that didn't sacrifice vocals and instruments in order to achieve it. Get this speaker this week for the current sale price of $180 (before the price goes back up to $400) and once your daughter hears it, she will laugh at the Beats Pill. Oh yeah, and it gets LOUD!

Bose Soundlink Color will be perfect for your daughter. I'd recommend the mint colored one, seems fitting for girls.

The Soundlink Mini is amazing, but if you don't want to spend $200, just go with the Color. I am a big fan of Bose sound products, just a brand I like to support.

I recently bought the Color for my brother and his wife as a little travel gift.

I played with a few at target yesterday and most really did sound better than the Pill I played with. The Bose had nice sound.
