same here. I took it down to my guy's weekend golf trip to Destin and we sat on the balcony with it and everyone was shocked how well that little thing did. It is very easy to attach another phone or tablet to it so someone else can play music too. Only problem I have with the Bose, which would probably carry to all of their stuff, is that once you lose the Bluetooth connection to someone else you need to go in and delete and redo it to play again. There isn't a memory to remember several devices. Not sure if any have a memory for 4 or 5 devices or not though.

The other Bluetooth speaker I looked at several times when I was looking was the Braven BR something. It was waterproof and supposed to have above average sound and really good battery life.

Another one I would look at is the Amazon Basics Bluetooth speaker. most of their Basics stuff is actually pretty good and it has to be better than the JBL turd that my buddy had on one of our trips that he brought it on.
