Michael Crichton Books

I just finished my first Michael Crichton book (Sphere). I’m now reading The Andromeda Strain.
Both books start quick, which I enjoy. Are the majority of his books this way?
A lot of stuff I read, sometimes it seems like nothing is really happening in the first third.
