re: Who has had the flu/stomach flu this year? - BuckeyeFan87
I caught the flu once when I was like six and haven't had it since. *knocks on wood* I've never had a flu shot either....

re: why can't American car companies compete on reliability - BuckeyeFan87
How else can you explain why someone would buy a Chevy Impala over a Honda Accord?
To be fair, the Impala looks a lot better than the accord, IMHO. The new accord is about as lackluster as they come in the looks department....

re: 70+ mile daily commute, what new vehicle should I buy? - BuckeyeFan87
VWs tend to do very well on those small overlap tests. It really is a shame that VW flubbed it's diesel department so badly. A TDI would have for sure been my next purchase....

re: 2017 Toyota Highlander (Thoughts) - BuckeyeFan87
Coworker has one and really likes it. I much prefer the 4Runner, but it's probabaly not as kid friendly. I believe it has a much larger tow load though and isn't so mom-ish. ...

re: 70+ mile daily commute, what new vehicle should I buy? - BuckeyeFan87
Just jumping in on the tank comments: go ahead and YouTube small overlap crash tests. Many vehicles considered to be 'tanks' have some of the worst ratings in this area....

re: 70+ mile daily commute, what new vehicle should I buy? - BuckeyeFan87
Something cheap with good gas mileage. Even if you buy new, your warranty will be gone within a year or two. I'd look into something like a new civic/accord/etc. As was already stated, a TDI would have been a great option a couple years back, but not anymore. I drive about 110 miles round trip ...

re: Do you wash brand new clothes before the first wear? - BuckeyeFan87
No, and I've never understood why people would. If it comes pre-folded to the point of leaving creases, I'll throw it in the dryer on the steam fresh setting just to get rid of those....

re: Reccomend 3-5 Dog Breeds - BuckeyeFan87
They shed, labs shed, goldens shed, boxers shed...
That's not really a fair comparison. No dog sheds like a GSD/Husky/Corgi when they're mid-shed. I'll sweep the floors and 10 minutes later spot a tumbleweed of my corgis undercoat rolling across my wood floors....

re: Reccomend 3-5 Dog Breeds - BuckeyeFan87
One more thing I would add: Unless you know you will be grooming your dog regularly, a shedding dog > a non shedding, long haired dog. I have a wheaten terrier(a hypoallergenic breed that doesn't shed) and it's a nightmare keeping her free from mats. I'll never have another breed similar in terms...

re: Reccomend 3-5 Dog Breeds - BuckeyeFan87
Just a heads up: avoid any breed of terrier. Terriers are too snappy IMO. I've never met one that didn't have random fits of rage....

re: Reccomend 3-5 Dog Breeds - BuckeyeFan87
None at all, but I keep mine trim. Bordeaux's have a tendency for health issues due to their broad chest and short muzzle. If you add in being overweight, they'll surely suffer. ETA: speaking on mine as well as the generation above her, not the breed as a whole...

re: PetLand and their ridiculous prices - BuckeyeFan87
Don't buy from Petland. No proper breeder would allow their puppies to go unsold, let alone to a pet store chain like that. And avoid the "adopt, don't buy" guilt tripping crowd. Rescuing a dog is obviously a good thing, but I always find it amusing how the pro-rescue crowd seem to ignore the ...

No, I enjoy my electronics too much. I'm sure they could find a niche following, but I'm not sure it would be large enough to be profitable....
Every BMW I've had, including an M5, was a total piece of shite and borderline lemons.
How many have you owned? And why would you continue buying a 'lemon' brand?...

They really do don't they  At least they have showstoppers like the AMG GT and G-Class SUVs to break up their models. BMW's SUVs look exactly the same as their cars. Eta: BMW does have their i8 which is pretty unique. Forgot about that model...

I used to love BMW, now they all just blend into one another. Will be nice when they add some creativity to their design again....
