there was some post about Gerrard not being the captain of the English team, and honestly, does this surprise anyone? you want your captain to actually be able to play, and let's face it.... Gerrard hasn't been healthy for over a year or so.... he very well could be done....

many, many holes on this squad.... had a lot of hope and expectations about this season, but like many seasons in recent memory, it just ended in disappointment and dismay.... spent money, but we seem further away, at this point, than we were a couple of years ago from being top 4 and getting to where we want to be.....

He's a terrible terrible player. How in the fricking universe could he want to take that pen after he his kickball homerun last week? As it stands, Henderson just isn't good enough. Might be down the road, but right now he's ineffective at best.

Edit: I take that back because it's unfair to Henderson. He's stuck out wide when he's not a wide player so it's tough to judge him fairly. But he is a mess in front of goal and his link up play in the final third is poor. But then again, so is everyone's. frick

If you're not going to play your £35M man, then sell him. This is what you do, Henry... you bring in Clint Dempsey. You pair him with Luis up top. Luis creates, Clint finishes. Thats what you do, Henry.

And Ive tried to be hopeful about Adam's play b/c he does deliver a good ball here and there, but it's not near worth it. His one decent ball every 30 min. does not make him worth the 6M or the playing time. Not to mention the amount of possessions he gives up. fricking send him packing in the summer and don't look back.

Geez it feels like everyone has forgotten already that we just won the Carling Cup last weekend. Sure, the loss to arsenal was painful to see but we still have a chance at winning the FA cup this season. I'm just hoping that this loss has lit a fire under some of the players and hopefully we could get into good scoring form. If that doesn't happen, I'm all about selling Carroll and Adam. Henderson is still young and learning. I can see him having a good season next season.

no, but this is a great example of the whole season and it's frustrating as hell. Great performances or results, followed by some shitty results.

It's ok to be frustrated at this- I mean this team is really very good most of the time but they've scored 30 goals in 27 games. That's astounding.

Good article. It really illustrates the brilliance we displayed Saturday, and just how badly we wasted that. The more I think about it the more I'm just left dumbfounded. How can we play such beautiful football 90% of the game, and then royally frick up the last touch every single time?
