We have more European titles than the rest of the PL combined. Doubt that's attributed to luck

Liverpool didn't need a rich owner

ah, yes, this is true, but think if we could have had a rich owner.... with our history and tradition coupled with a couple hundred of million of dollars and we'd be fricking set.....

a man can dream, can't he?!

anyway, mid way thru my FIFA 12 Manager Mode and my 'Pool club looks like this:
Starting XI
GK-Reina
RB- Kelly (sold Johnson for $19 million, $4.5 mil. over est. worth
CB- Agger and Skrtel
LB- Jose Enrique
CDM- Sami Khedira (sold Lucas for $18.5 million, $7.5 mil over
RM-Henderson (sold Downing for $28 mil, 6.5 over worth)
LM- Adam
CAM-Gerrard
CF-Suarez (of course, who else?)
ST-Carroll

Bench/reserves
GK-Jones (Hansen and Gulasci loaned for season)
CB- Carra, Coates, Wilson
LB-Robinson
RB-Mario Gaspar (from Villareal) and Flanagan (Mendy and Darby loaned for full season
CAM- Oscar (20 y.o., 77 OVR, from Brazil), (Cole loaned for season)
CDM- Matip (from Schalke), Coady loaned for season
CM- Spearing and Shelvey
LM- X. Shaqiri (19 y.o, 76 OVR from Switzerland) and Bellamy
RM-Maxi and C. Clemons (20 y.o., 71 OVR, from Germany)
CF- Pacheco and Adorjan both loaned for season
ST- Babacar (18 y.o., 72 OVR, from Fiorentina), Eccleston, Amoo (loaned for the season)

recalled Aquaman from his loan stint, only to turn around and sell his arse for $2 million more than he's worth ($19 million) to Newcastle.... also sold, Fab Aurelio, Kuyt, Wisdom, and Doni.... in all, we started with $58 million in available funds, but now have about $101 million, plus we have many great young pieces that we can develop and later sell for a great profit....

side note, in FIFA 12, transfers are insane.... Rooney was sold to Bayern Munich, Modric is at Man U, Kaka is at Chelski, Drogba was sold to PSG, David Silva is at Arsenal, both the Toure brothers ended up somewhere else other than Man City, Clint Dempsey was sold to Bolton, Sagna and Cambiasso ended up at Man City....
Nani, Ji Sung Park, and Higuain are at Tottenham.... they have Adebayor coming off the bench now!

it's like the creators over compensated for the lack of transfer offers and shite on FIFA 11, and went overboard, to a certain extent with it this year.... it's better, but damn.... Rooney requesting a transfer then getting dealt was too unbelievable and you don't want that in a game based on a real sport....

and yeah, i know wrong board, but it started off with the rich owner comment and sorta drifted, so eat a bag of dicks

A bit extreme, no?

ETA: that would be awesome, but I already dish out enough shite to the Man City and Chelski fans that I don't want to be caught up in those kind of systems.

It's like with the Saints, I agree with everything they stand for and all the grit and determination they show.

That's my ideal team, IMO.

Word is getting around on twitter that Parker was named England captain over Gerrard.

He still won English Footballer of the Year...Gerrard has been injured/inconsistent for the better part of the last year.

That was playing at West Ham. Even I could win that award playing at Upton Park.

(That was just to piss you off. Did it work?)

See if I share my ribs with you next time a-hole. West Ham is a big club and they'll be up again next season...besides, it wasn't like he was playing for them in the Championship.

Btw, the Everton match has been rescheduled for March 13th at 20:00 (2:00pm CST) for those that haven't seen it.

Yeah I'm just giving you hell for your affinity to the fighting Elijah Woods.

I'm sure I'll take abuse for this, but I actually kind of enjoyed that movie. I've seen plenty little guys bring the wood before. Speaking of movies, I watched "Will" this morning...not a bad way to spend an hour and a half for a Liverpool fan I guess. It's not going to win any awards, but it has Maj. Winters from Band of Brothers (sporting the scouse accent) and cameos from Dalglish, Carra, and Stevie. I guess I'm a sucker for soccer movies.

I saw the previews for that one. I actually kind of want to see it.

On that U-21 note, Lansbury is all over this field. I guess there's no chance Arsenal would sell. He's been having a stellar year with Palace I'm told.
