99% chance he flew in from LOS, not ROB. Ebola can incubate for weeks.

EDIT: Apparently he flew in from BRU, so even more remote

For the same reason VP Dick Cheney ordered - against all standing orders - all military jets to stand down on 9-11.

CNN just reported that the NY Times reports he helped a pregnant woman with Ebola within 2 days of travelling to Dallas. She died and he knew it. Liberia's land borders are closed, but we willingly are allowing our borders to be open by air, land and sea to horrible infectious diseases. The PC pussy side in this country thinks they are invincible.

Ok, but there's these things called passports that they stamp whenever you enter and exit a country, that they check to see where you've traveled.

That assclown CDC director refusing to give out the flight number and refusing to acknowledge the question about his immigration status pisses me off. Those assholes treat the public like children.

Well, why the Hell wouldn't somebody believe that these assclowns don't know what they are doing? How many lies has this admin spun in the last 6 years to cover their asses?

f it's not contagious when there are no symptoms, how are all these people contracting it

1. In Africa, they have poor isolation and quarantine standards
2. Alot of ppl there do not follow the standards in place
3.
quote:

blood or body fluids (including but not limited to urine, saliva, feces, vomit, and semen) of a person who is sick with Ebola
objects (like needles and syringes) that have been contaminated with the virus
infected animals
Ebola is not spread through the air or by water, or in general, food. However, in Africa, Ebola may be spread as a result of handling bushmeat (wild animals hunted for food) and contact with infected bats.

quote:

uring outbreaks of Ebola, the disease can spread quickly within healthcare settings (such as a clinic or hospital). Exposure to Ebola can occur in healthcare settings where hospital staff are not wearing appropriate protective equipment, including masks, gowns, and gloves and eye protection.

How are doctors and nurses contracting it?

IDK because they never released how the 2 American docs got the disease, but the last I heard (and this was from a thread on the OT) was that it was through contact with an infected nurse.

You are fine unless you come in to contact with bodily fluids of an infected person or eat infected bushmeat.

The flight number is irrelevant since the virus cannot spread when there are no symptoms.

While it isn't airborne, it can travel through air in airborne particles like from a sneeze and, as a virus, live on the surface of something for a while before coming in contact with your hands and then to your eyes, mouth ,etc... right?

I'm impressed that you have all those airport codes memorized. You must get around a little.

Babies touch everything. You can't always wipe something down before they've licked it or stuck their fingers in their mouth.

I agree that people are freaking out a bit too much about this but, if it can be passed in this manner, it's not hard to spread. There just aren't enough cases around to spread quickly.
