Doesn't surprise me. People are treating Colorado like a weedland Shangri-la right now. The novelty will wear off as more and more states legalize.

Man, you can scream to the top of your lungs but when places like friggin AMSTERDAM has changed it's stance and reveresed their thinking (a most liberal quoted place of wowness) after 40 years, you might want to listen.

It's like the havens of greatness they hold up for universal healthcare etc.... that are now changing...

You might want to listen!

Not to mention edibles and concentrates. No one buys those on the black market here. I mean if you want a Co-Cola, are you gonna get it from some hillbilly mixing it in a barn or 7/11?

We don't have coffee shops. We have legal stores, like liquor stores. Of course, just like alcohol, a certain amount is going to end up transfered to underaged.

We can't even legislate the ban on worse shite sold under a new name that can be bought in head shops. Far more dangerous as they are made in labs outside the USA and all they have to do is slightly change the formula. Outlaw it yes, but one week later they slightly change the formula and back in business.

How does this happen? Lack of backbone and trial lawyers on the take.

Isn't it simple so simple as to draft a bill that puts these shops out of business? Kids are dying from these designer drugs. My God we've had a few just this year in my state that I am aware of.

These designer drugs are sold under bs names like before the bath salt ordeal. Why were head shops selling bath salts? Do we really need legal shite to know why?

I am telling you, this country has lost all ability to think. Some lawyer says "Well, nothing wrong with legally selling bath salts in a head shop" ( even though he knows exactly what its sold for.)

What happened to common sense? But if that attorney loses a kid to bath salts then all hell breaks out huh.

Sometimes I wonder who to get mad at. Washington or posters on these boards that lack ability for logic and simple common sense. I guess both, after all, Washington gets their power from the uneducated.

No, it isn't simple and the illegality of the original one has made them much worse.

The original compound of these "bath salts" was relatively safe since it was created in an actual lab. When that compound was made illegal, people changed one aspect of the chemical (a branch group for example) and a new compound was formed. That compound was made illegal and the process just continued.

They can't just say, "all of these compounds are illegal". It has to be specific. And "bath salts" are actual items that are used in a bath. Should the government simply outlaw an entire market because a drug calls itself "bath salts"?

The issue is that they are always changing.

We should wait on that until the wall is paid for. If you wreck there economy (more that it already is), they wont have the pesos to pay for the wall...
