The cartels are multi billion dollar operations. Their pocket books will keep them operating no matter how hard anyone tries to stop them it's why the war on drugs is basically pointless.

It won't solve anything someone is still going to have billions of American dollars and is going to pick up where the last one left off. If you want to get rid of the cartels find their money and burn that shite it's the only thing that can actually stop them. Simply killing off drug dealers hasn't and will never work.

Your side claims that Iraq wanted us out... Let's move past that, and apply that to this situation. If Mexico wants the help and is on board, the situation is 100% different.

Well, yes, yes I can tell you that you can't win that war by taking down the Mexican Cartels. You might make a bunch of addicts temporarily miserable but something will take its place. Accept it and treat it, stop funding terrorists and prisons, then you might put a dent in the war on drugs.
