I was born and raised Catholic...I was brainwashed for 12 yrs. in their schools and 1 year at Loyola U. of the South(NO)...the latter was was teeming with homos and peds...at 19 I couldn't stand the crap anymore and became a non-believer of any kind...I was taught that Martin Luther was a despicable heretic worthy of the fires of Hell...a few years ago I wrote an absolutely great poem dedicated to Luther while I was walking one night in Dumaguete,Philippines while drinking a San Marcos beer...

This is why I've turned my back on the Catholic Church.
Also one big reason my cradle catholic husband has done the same.
There just seems to be a bizarre acceptance of sex abuse. It's sickening and it seems never ending.

I understand your frustration with the molestation. I don't see what the evil actions of a small percentage of humans has to do with the divinity of Christ and the value of receiving the sacraments though.
While pedophilia is something I thankfully don't understand and will never condone, the Church is actually acting like Christ by showing mercy. Obviously the Church has a responsibility to keep children safe. The sex abuse is such an evil and disgusting situation.

Sure there are lots of married pedophiles, but the point is that not allowing priests to marry reduces the potential applicant pool to the point its overloaded with homosexuals, those with relationship/emotional issues, and unfortunately pedophiles.
