at least carter did shite like sell off fancy president stuff

as much as i don't trust carter and think he's a little nuts (although senility seems to have somehow smartened him), he is a 2 on the puke scale compared to obama's healthy 8.5 (Reid and Pelosi being 10s).

For whatever it's worth, Food Board claims he quit eating half way through the $300 meal. Is that better or worse? I'm not sure.

Well he graduated in the top 10% of Harvard Law School & was President of the Law Review. That is an accomplishment. And one that leads to things.

Perhaps this was different when Barry attended:

a) Harvard Law Review members are selected based on a writing competition. LINK It's not the highest ranked students as it is in most schools (with a couple write-on spots).

and

b)

The grading system for J.D. Students is described briefly below. It is important to highlight that there is no published curve with respect to the distribution of grades and that there are no class rankings. For additional information about grading, please visit the grading section of the Handbook of Academic Policies for 2012-2013. Also feel free to contact Assistant Dean for Career Services, Mark Weber.

eta: i'm not saying that his law review editor position and harvard matriculation aren't accomplishments. but thousands upon thousands of people have similar credentials, none of which prepare one to be president, much less a competent one.

If you truly don't get it, then you're a moron. But I suspect you do get it, and are just defending your president no matter what.

$300 for raw fish is nothing. Have you seen the price of arugula these days?

This is nothing, I wrote a book about economic inequality while traveling the world in my personal jet, eating sushi from my cooking staff on the reg, and spending all my hours in every night club around the world. THE POOR LIVE HORRIBLE LIVES, WE MUST FIX IT - and they ate it right up.. straight into my bank account.

maybe that's true, but I do wish the low information voter would actually realize that Obama couldn't give two shits about income equality, he's just another crony rich arse hat in charge of the US, just like Bush... but they wont, and they never will.

Please - if this was a CEO of a Fortune 500 company you libs would be calling for his head for having a $300 plate of sushi and his own personal chefs. You tell everyone to hate people like that.

But if it's Obama...

It's totally fine cause he deserves it.

No one has suggested that. What I'm suggesting is someone that eats $300/plate sushi and a full cooking staff shouldn't be lecturing us on income inequality.

A want, how can you not see that harping on income inequality and the plight of the poor in order to sway voters while dining on a 300 dollar per plate meal is not hypocrisy that should be pointed out?

Indeed. Nothing wrong with it per se. But I thought liberals despised hypocricy.
Irony?

You must be joking. The entire liberal/progressive political philosophy is based on hypocrisy.

The man is being criticized for nothing really, all presidents get treated like kings when they travel, etc.

But the reason he is getting criticized more than most presidents is because the way he seems to judge fairness and equity by the amount of things or money you have.

Reality is that the govt.'s role is to make laws and legislate such that everyone is treated fairly under the law and that no one is denied their basic rights or an opportunity at happiness.

When you use the bully pulpit to criticize achievers and tell them they have to much and that isn't fair and you yourself continue to live to the fullest; then yes you are being a hypocrite.

Reality Obama is no moral authority; nor is he the person to tell us who is and who isn't moral. He himself has had advantages that many of us don't have which have allowed him to get where he is today.

He himself will become a multi millionaire simply because he was elected president. I have no problem with that, but listening to his own speeches; I think he is going to have a problem with himself post presidency.
