Perhaps, but one could expect a President who criticizes the wealthy to abstain from pleasures that only a wealthy individual could afford.

While meeting with the Japanese Prime Minister? Do you guys even have jobs? Jesus!

No, I want the most powerful man in the world to either:

1)Point to successful people and celebrate that success while encouraging others to attempt to reach that level and then exceed it.

or

2) At LEAST not make a battle cry out of the jealousy of success.

Give me either of those and eat that meal in peace.

Hackery....I despise it.

Well he graduated in the top 10% of Harvard Law School & was President of the Law Review. That is an accomplishment. And one that leads to things.

Yes, it looks bad on the surface, but that $300 meal is prob on par with any of his meals when you take into account the personal chefs at the WH and the security that oversees the food prep.

It really isn't about the sushi at the end of the day. It's his attitude and lavish vacations he goes on. He spends millions upon millions going golfing and staying at the most expensive resorts. Moochelle will book the whole damn floor at a ski resort hotel just so her and her girls can try to ski for a week. He's gone on more vacations than any other president in history. Moochelle actually pisses me off with her spending more than him.

At least the man pretends to care. 'Pub's outright hostile to the less off. Which is better?

If either of those were true, it would be the former by a long shot.

Obama's policies have hurt the middle class even more than Bush's.

There is nothing more hostile than nurturing the low expectation mindset all the while providing just enough through social programs to keep people in poverty.

Just point an eye towards the leadership of Chicago, Detroit, New Orleans as the beacons of hostility to the "less off"

I don't get this. I think people expect that a President will eat expensive meals, especially with heads of state.

I'm guessing the peasants recognized the Kings would eat expensively too but then again, most of the Kings didn't bitch about how everyone around them could afford to eat hugely expensive meals while the peasants were lucky if they could get bread.

You don't think he might have more important things to work on?
I know he has time to study college basketball well enough to fill out NCAA Tournament brackets. That is definitely more important than preparing food.
