And then turned around and threatened them.

Sorta undid all he had just done rather quickly.

Getting to UN to vote unanimously on any subject was a huge win for Donald.

Running his mouth, yet again, not so much.

The key to the NKs is to ignore them. Any time they want attention they talk about going to war. Donald gave them exactly what they wanted.

Not a good move on the world stage.

Let's be honest the Junta is probably calling a lot of the shots. Kim probably just walks lockstep with them for the most part. Some think of you take out Kim the Junta would operate differently but I have to imagine they are like minded. Not to say they aren't all scared shitless.

Obama wasn't dealing with the total worldwide scenario that Trump is, b/c of the increased threat levels and just general international conflicts. i mean we got Russia to agree literally a week after signing a bill related to sanctions on Russia AFTER 6 months of the media/Democrats increasing the tensions b/c US and Russia. did Obama have that level of difficulty? frick no

did trump use the term "red line"?

I haven't heard him say "red line" per se, but what the frick else did he mean with his "fire and fury" rhetoric? He sure likes to rattle that saber of his.

He's one tough motherfricker. Too bad he was too yellow to enlist during the Vietnam war. Maybe the outcome would have been different if we would have had him over there throwing his weight around.

You can't ignore a country threatening to nuke you and your allies. There's much more geopolitics involved.

You start "ignoring" a nuclear threat against your allies in the region, and they won't be your allies for very long.

Wasn't his version of foreign policy basically apologizing to the rest of the world for any and everything the United States has ever done?

That's laughable. Placating and ignoring hasn't worked yet. We have going on six decades of letting this mess get worse. If anything, baiting NK in to increasingly reckless behavior and rhetoric has galvanized the rest of the world community against North Korea. It may finally be an opportunity to affix a more permanent solution to the problem child of the peninsula.

they keep stooping to lower and lower levels. I'm convinced there's nowhere they wouldn't go if it damages Trump in any way.

Now they've gotten to the point where they'll a murderous dictator hellbent on the destruction of the US if it makes Trump look bad.

Obama inherited a world economy in free fall and huge issue with AQ unresolved, that's all.

i'm not saying the media is not a legitimate issue at all, but it's become the central boogeyman conservative propaganda has brainwashed ya'll with, to the point where SFP literally said THE MEDIA is pushing us to war. If you think about that comment for a minute it becomes crystal clear just how absurd a thing to say that is. And that's coming from SFP, who is among the more nuanced right leaning posters on this board.

Maybe, just maybe, there's something in between ignoring them and saying "if you open your mouth again i'm going to knock you out"? Maybe?
