That's not the problem, is what I mean. The problem is doctors feeding or creating that dependancy when they know better.

Is it though? Is that really the problem here? Ask yourself, how did this issue become something that we even give a shite about? How does this issue impact your life, now ask WHY does it impact your life?

The problem is not one guy selling another guy an opioid. Despite what Jeff "top cop" sessions tells you.

It affects my life because my tax dollars and insurance premiums help pay for it. Until that changes, I'm all for a crackdown on it.

Already asked and answered.
Obviously there are physicians who are abusing the system and committing fraud.

But I think we are overrating the prevalence of these nefarious physicians and its impact on the opioid crisis. And worse yet, government regulations limit the alternatives that could be prescribed instead (medical marijuana).

So when Sessions takes down these physicians, but advocates against policies that could helpthe problem, then he's clearly not fixing the problem and doesn't seem too concerned with a fix.

Most of these have already been flushed out of the system.

Sessions needs to be fired. He's creating a bigger problem.

Antibiotics are about the only thing that should be regulated as your misuse kills the world and not just you

I'm going to turn this on its head.

ABX should be regulated, just not by government.

Government has regulated all kinds of shite, and It hasn't stopped rampant overuse one bit, probably made it worse.

In much of the world, they aren't regulated by government, so it might be interesting to see what that bug profile looks like. If that's even possible to determine.

Obviously, the consequences of opioid abuse are vastly different than those of antibiotic abuse, at least in the short run.

I was with you until this.

I would think the opposite.

Too overuse of antibiotics causes viruses to develop resistence to them and they become ineffective. Which will cause all kinds of wacky fun in the future.

Overuse of opioid, while a strain in the short term mostly means morons die.

I'm good with the latter, not so much the former.

So you see the problem, and you deliberately apply the wrong solution.

Amazing.

He's advocating against repealing Obamacare?

Yep. Probably should have a lot worse done to him that being fired.

Viruses don't need resistance to antibiotics, because they're not really "alive". They don't work on viruses at all. Antibiotics target bacteria.

Even with full appeal, am I supposed to believe this wouldn't affect my premiums?

The problem here is it's costing taxpayers money. Where is Sessions advoxating against the repeal of Obamacare?

Well just because he may be against one costly policy, doesn't excuse him for being for another costly policy--especially when that policy is within his authority.

Question was clear. The reality is this will still cost taxpayers money even if a repeal occurs.

Repeal of laws is not within his authority at all.

But enforcement is and he has discretionary power. When Congress passed a law eliminating DOJ funding against medical marijuana, and he advocates for that funding, he's advocating for more government.
