You guys realize that a EMP would take out more than the power grid. Anything with an electric circuit would be useless.

If you shut off power for a month or so, the US population would probably get a little bit healthier in the short term.

The power grid going down would be catastrophic. 90% of the population ? That seems a bit high

You ought to read up on it, sh; that number is not inflated. Most every critical basic good and service is linked into the Energy grid and transportation systems. Those giant electrical transformers are hell to replace...as most come from China. Not to mention anything with sensitive computer boards would be fried. Gringrich has been on this for years; Beck too. They are smart people.

If you really want to ruin the Fall Season...read "One Second After". Ugly.

They need to get on this stuff asap.

Did you happen to notice this report was a couple of guys from the recently DEFUNDED EMP Commission basically throwing as much shite against the wall as possible trying to get Congress scared into overriding the decision to DEFUND the EMP Commission by the DoD and the Dept. of Homeland Security?

Read the report. The link is in the news link you provided. Here's a quote:

quote:

On September 30, 2017, the Department of Defense, after withholding a significant part of the monies allocated by Congress to support the work of the EMP Commission for the entirety of 2016, terminated funding the EMP Commission.

I love your threads! I get a kick out how you kick open the fricking door, toss in some hand grenades, take a flame thrower to the survivors, and then rinse and repeat.

I suppose they are smart but I haven't done any Beck in years and Gingrich follows the money but I have read some EMP stuff and it is a really scary deal with no one really knowing would happen if it went off in the middle of the country at some altitude that I can't remember. They (NoKo) are steadily increasing their range. It's not imminent but surely they are moving to that because a single nuke hitting us would be provocative but would only insure a counter strike.

The worst thing about not having electricity is no sewage treatment. We would have to shite in holes like the good ole days.

I'm so happy to have a thoughtful, measured leader like Donald Trump in charge during these troubled times.

Actually, Trump's DoD and DHS think so little of these commission members that they want to DEFUND them.

Praise Trump for wanting to toss out a bunch of fear mongers.

90%

I’m stockpiled with enough ammo and fishing gear. My family will be able to eat just fine. No electricity or AC will be uncomfortable and inconvenient but we’ll survive

Try no water.

It seems the population has taken for granted that turning on the water faucet takes no electricity on your end but it takes a hell of a lot to get it to your faucet.
