re: So has anybody ever actually seen a KKK member? - Diamondawg
Growing up, I would see KKK Rally signs on the side of the road. I am sure I have met some or knew some but it wasn't something widely known except to other members. This was in the 60s and early 70s....

re: Rank SEC states by their BBQ (Missouri spinoff) - Diamondawg
Can vouch for the bge. Get decent smoke to bbq just about anything, but I can get it up to 600 degrees to do a pizza or steak too. Add a lot of flavor to veggies too. Very versatile and easy to use.
I'll think about it. If I need to replace my smoker and my grill, maybe this is the...
The box store smokers last around 5 years. I got an egg because it's a good smoker, lasts a long time, and can be used as a grill. I do wish I had a good offset smoker, though.
I have a Masterbilt that is at least 10 years old. You have to take care of it and keep it covered though...
If you do want to augment a "cheap" smoker I would suggest moving your thermometer down as close as you can to where your meat sits. Many are too high in the barrel.
I have a digital meat probe with a cable rated to 600 degrees. I feed the probe in through the smoke port and dangle i...

re: Rank SEC states by their BBQ (Missouri spinoff) - Diamondawg
You can get a pretty decent propane smoker from Masterbilt for $150-$400 depending on size you want. They make an electric one but I don't recommend it. The kamado ceramic style grills/smokers are just too expensive for my tastes for bbq. Maybe one day but just can't make myself pull the trigger. I...
Anybody/place that boils their pork ribs before they BBQ them, don't know shite about BBQing....ask before you order.
LINK / Shit! $100 for a rack of beef ribs
We are supposed to be getting a Costco. My oldest lived in Charlotte and they had one and he said they had good meat. Not always the cheapest with meat (to me anyway), you get what you pay for. Anyone with experience with Costco? I know ...
You ever inject a butt before cooking? I never have, but I've wanted to give it a try.
Typically, I brine mine for 24 hours and inject with a Tony Charere's Garlic Butter. Put a good rub on it, go 4 hours, wrap in foil until 190. Leave wrapped and rest in a low boy Styrofoam cooler...
