Belk being a southern market company attaching many ads to the SEC is interesting considering the entire south voted Trump. Unwise

100% political statement. Besides its not like Ivanka is hurting for money and is anything close to po po.
She's living life as a wealthy woman right now, she'll die a wealthy woman.
Yea but it sucks for all of the people her clothing line employs which BTW is a lot of women. The party for "women's rights", and just had a march for such, will be responsible for a lot of women losing their jobs.

Belk is a Southern company ... they are making a huge mistake.

Y'all snowflakes melting over this bitch's shitty clothing line and not one of you can name 3 people you associate with that wears that shite.

My SO and I shop at Belk regularly. Neither of us knew they carried her line. How profitable could it have been if nobody (especially regulars) even knew it was available?
(PS--the founding Belk family sold the chain to a NY-based private equity fund last year. So their "Modern. Southern. Style." tagline is just that.)

The dress she wore to the convention was sold out before her speech was done. My wife wanted one but I'm not sure if she checked any of those retailers or went to her website. I was surprised when she told me that it was pretty cheap.

They can frick Ivanka over for political reasons, and we can spend our dollars elsewhere...for political reasons.
For that same reason, people can shop because places like Belk, Nordstrom, TJMaxx, etc decide to trash shite that isn't selling.
Plus, isn't her terrible line made in China? I can't say I've ever seen it, nor did I know she was even in the "fashion industry." Thanks to social media, I know more everyday.

No one wants to sell Ivanka's line anymore. Free market or political reasons?
Could be both. This time last year the Trump name did not mean the same thing to more than half the people who made the effort to vote in the presidential election. The line may have been selling pretty well until the last 6 months or so when the name became associated with a pussy grabbing jerk....and it is pretty easy to see that a good portion of the democgraphic who buy shite at these stores might be put off by the name now.
Anyone who thinks that these retailers who are all about image are doing this to make a political statement against the exhalted ruler has lost their mind. That person is, in the parlance of the day, melting like the snowflake that they are because someone has insulted their Great Leader....

That stuff is still on the bigger retailers shelves because it didn't sale....

That's bullshite. I'm losing a lot of respect for these stores, and will choose to spend my money in places where they don't spew political garbage. I'm getting sick of it.
I bought IT boots at Lord &Taylor 4 years ago, and they are really nice. I've actually had them retipped each year because other than that, they're in perfect shape and are very classic looking, so I enjoy wearing them each winter. I'll continue to buy her products because they suit my taste and are of good quality. Don't care who's daughter she is.

Nice try. The obvious ones melting here are the ones banning clothes from being sold in a store because they don't like her father's politics.
That is next level melt. You trying to call out others melting for pointing and laughing at this hilarious decision is definitely the definition of trying too hard.
The left has resorted to clothes boycotts and you seem to be all about it. How embarrassing for you

Don't fool yourself into thinking this is Trump blowback. They're all whores. It's all about the money. Ivanka and her clothing line are subject to the perils of the fashion market just like all the rest. Those that suggest this is retaliation against Ivanka for being the President's daughter are desperate to make these outlandish and opportunistic associations. It suggests that Trump is so evil, you'll get burned if you get anywhere near him. The Dems are fabricating this into yet another moral equivalency: "Ivanka's clothes don't sell - therefore she and her father are evil people like we said all along".
They'll be bitching about the color of her shoes before it's over.
