I don't mind that at all

They had a fund raiser at the Metairie location for my aunt years back before she died of cancer and they catered the food after the funeral. It was lobster heaven for me!! I always liked them for that reason

Didn't they just open one in Jackson, MS too? Or was that a Deanie's?

I, for one, am extremely excited about this. I know he's been looking for the perfect location in BR to open a location and I guess he's found it.

Where exactly is this 3.5 acres they are building on? I'm very familiar with the area but can't visualize where this is

Ehh, it will certainly be in the top 3 or 4. Which I would count as "close."

I don't mean this to tout Dragos, btw.

Just curious as to what you think is better? There might be a couple places that are on the same level or slightly better, but I can't think of any that are far and away better.

Probably but to me other than the oysters-which I have been eating at the N Arnoult location for years (I don't like the Riverside Hilton location) I find it just another fry house. Nothing special about it.

Now the shrimp remoulade po boy is legit so that is my second menu item.

Jubans is going to open a smaller bistro in front of Alexanders Market and I'll frequent it more I'm sure.

Next to Harper's Happerdashery in front of the gated zero lot line homes before CCL.

In there by Morgan Stanley. Directly across from Jimmy Swaggarts old driveway.

Exactly, but how many "seafood restaurants" in Baton Rouge are doing anything much more special than that? It's certainly not beyond 3 or 4. Hell, I don't think it's that special for N.O. either, but that still puts it in the top 10 "seafood restaurants" in N.O., which is still "close" I suppose.

Sno's, Lousiana laginappe, Jubans, and Ruffinos are better for sure. Places like Mansurs are even with Dragos IMHO. I do not find the actual dishes at Dragos to be anything special

When I said it isnt "close", I am saying it as nobody with a palate will actually consider it better than the restaurants I listed. But sure in ranking order, I understand yalls point
