Another toy I bought. A Woodland M126 bandsaw mill. Cuts real good. I had moved it to it's resting place and built a shack to house it.

Reason I got it is that I been clearing some land. Just burning the logs is a big waste. So, why not mill them.

The shack walls are Red Oak that I milled along with the timbers that the track systems is on.

That looks fun and very dangerous at same time.

I may give you a call the next time I start a new group of houses. I always hated trashing what I know is usable material

It is, both. My grandpaw got killed in his own sawmill.

I don't have any pine trees on my place. I will be milling Oak and cypress trees. Green lumber takes about a year to dry. I will be building a new camp with most of the lumber. Really thinking of doing a timber build. That way I can used green lumber.

How do you keep the logs from falling off?

Nice mill. I've been wanting to get a small mill to resaw some of my thick slabs. I have an Alaskan MK3 with a stihl 660 magnum, but it leaves behind so much bar oil and a huge kerf.

My Grandpa had a sawmill in North Mississippi from 1930 -1970 . I've got some Pics somewhere of him setting on some timbers that a team of oxen could barely pull . Those guys working at that mill were badass. It's hard to believe how they cut all those huge timbers with a crosscut saw . They had to take the mill to the trees . The trees were to big to haul them to his place .

If you ever need help running some logs, give me a holler. Not too far from you and I've been looking for an excuse to come check out your place.

$2,900. May have to look into one of these. We burned some very nice pines after TS Isaac a few years ago. They could have been put to much better use!

ETA: Just watched a promo video. Very impressed.

Not too bad - figured it'd be a lot more expensive for some reason

My dad had a wood miser saw and it was amazing what you can do with a portable mill.

Not at this time somewhat. I will be building a trailer for it. The shack is portable. I can move it with my backhoe with no problem.

That is for a mill that has only 12' of track. Add another 1k+ for more track, blades and shipping.
