You have to use their scissors, they won't let you use your own knife.

I did it. On my second one, the shite squirted out when I cut it and got on my face and shirt.

I was honestly surprised how tough that damn cord was.

Have no clue if this is the truth, but as a first responder I was told if I cut the cord I went on record as the deliverer of the baby.


Also, hold the cord above the baby when cutting or they could bleed out.

Yep. The Dr and nurses didn't speak English, so even if they asked, I didn't know. I'm just fine with that.

Yep. I grabbed the scissors and went for a quick snip and run, but it took me a second attempt.

They clamp it, bruh. And you cut between the clamps. Saw the doc do it.

That umbilical cord was one of the coolest things I have ever seen and I cut it like a boss when my son was born.
