I've actually heard of that happening quite a bit. Usually though I've heard the headaches start at the hospital. They make them get up now I guess.
The epidural freaks me out but so many women say you don't feel it because all you feel is labor pain.

I wish they'd have done that with her. Would have saved her a lot of pain because the hospital was a 45 minute drive from our house. It's a terrible feeling to see you're wife sitting in the passenger seat balled up holding her head virtually whaling from the pain and you have no idea what's going on or how to help her. I was terrified she was having an aneurysm.

I told the Dr. that was what I was paying her for but she wouldn't take no for an answer.
