Probably 30-35 people. Rehearsal will be at St. Louis Cathedral in the winter so the closer the better but anywhere in the city is okay.
Price not a big concern. Wife is a vegetarian so I'd consider places like La Boca out.

People poopoo on Antoines but it would be great for a rehearsal dinner. Galatoire's upstairs is also a nice option.

Calcasieu is not close but great food.

I've been too, they weren't always nice.

Won't be any places more convenient though.

I'm pro Calcasieu, also Herbsaint has a back room.

Just went to one at Tableau after a Cathedral rehearsal and it was very nice. Private room with a balcony opening up to Jackson Square. Not sure about the veggie options though.

Think herbsaint was minimum of like 4-5grand last year when I got married, which went up to 6k b/c of Tulanes graduation.
Ended up at Luke b/c I wasn't dropping that for 22 people, think we ended up around $1800 or so for everything. Everyone loved it... only problem is that it isn't completely blocked off from the restaurant... only 3 walls.

Bump.

Ok we've broadened our range. How about all over the city suggestions?

You can rent out the upstairs at Coquette. Besides the fact that their food is outstanding, their rehearsal/special event menu is VERY generously priced. Like $30-something a person for a multi course menu if I remember correctly.

And if you've ever sat up there, the decor is so feminine and pretty, and their large windows overlooking the street are nice. It will be too cold for you to have them open, but it's nice when they're open.

I think you should rethink that. I just did a rehearsal at the cathedral and being forced to park once and then move my car again for dinner would have been super annoying and a waste of a lot of time.
