Delta has direct flights from MSY to Cancun. I would suggest taking one of those and hitting up an all inclusive in the Cancun area. I just spent a week at Excellence Playa Mujeres and was blown away. It was incredible. ETA: The flight from Nola to Cancun is like 1:30-1:45, so you wouldn't be tr...

I agree with the 10-30k mile option. Would allow me to get a little bit better model and possibly brand with better options. The crossover option is also growing on me. Think having a little more room than a car would be nice, and the ability to fold down the back seats would be huge. ...
