I know canes pretty much put bailey's out. But anybody remember which one opened first? Where was the first bailey's? Were the sauces the same? I started at LSU bout the time the "battle" was going on. Just curious

Pretty sure baileys was first. The only one I knew of was the one on highland and lee. Good times knowing people and giving them a few bucks for a bag full of chicken.

+1

I remember Bailey's sauce had a higher mayo ratio.

Didn't like it. Plus they gave white bread, no texas toast.

I was avid bailys fan, I boycotted canes for years after they put them out.

I stand corrected. It's been a while.

Bailey's was $5.15 for the combo and Caine's was $5.25.

Baily's was next to Noah's pet store. Then Caine's moved their second location across the street. Then Bailey's started doing the $1 off coupon in the Tiger Weekly. So $4.15 for the combo was a steal.

I actually had Caine's last week. The flavors were the same, but the finers were tiny. One was so small I felt like complaining but held it.
A box used to be five fingers, not it's more expensive and with four tiny fingers.

Who owned baileys? Was it a mom and pop or a chain?

Bailey's had too many potheads as employees

gave away as much product as they sold, it seemed

Holy shite is this ever true. We had a friend that worked there (obviously not a great friend if I can't recall his name 13 years later) he would just fill the bag with fingers and fries. Would would have a bag of fingers and a bag of fries and I'm sure he pocketed what we paid for the combo.

The employees giving away food is what must have put that place under. You can add me to the list of someone who would get tons of free food from there.

Like 20 fingers and a bag of fries for free. Looking back I feel bad for whoever owned that place.
