Going to see Jeff Dunham with my dad tonight (he is a fan) and we need dinner plans. He suggested Walk On due to proximity, but I refuse to drive from BTR to NOLA and eat at Walk Ons. we have a decent amount of time, but the show is at 730 I think, so not a bunch. Not looking for anything crazy expensive. Suggestions from the FDB?

Inside the Hyatt hotel. Eat at Borgne.

Next to Walk On's is Little Gems.

Domenica is always good, though possible a tad heavy before a show.

Ste. Marie is nearby.

See if you can get a seating at La Boca for 6:00. Get a hanger and a skirt steak rare and a side of provoleta. Apps and stuff may take too long, though there are some good ones. It's not that close to the arena, but frick it...go eat somewhere good with your old man.

Borgne would be clutch in this sitch

I've tried to like Little Gem Saloon, but I've been 3 times now and each time there's been something wrong with the food.. a mistake, in addition to it not being very good. Cool atmosphere though.

Ste Marie has improved over the past year. Think they got a new chef. That could be a good choice.

La Boca is a gas. Great spot.

If you bring me a homebrew, I'll meet you on the way in and you can use my parking pass for the Hyatt/entergy garage. You'll have a 20 second walk to the arena

Nice place that is tucked away right in the middle of it all.

I could probably make this happen.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to pass Borgne, Vitascope and Ste Marie on to the pops to see what he is feeling.

I think your dad will probably like Borgne the best out of those.

Also, am I the only one blown away that Jeff Dunham fills up an entire Arena??

My folks are going and I thought the same thing when I heard it was in the arena. Real shitty venue for a comedy act.

There's nothing like sitting in the upper deck of the arena watching a ventriloquist. You'll swear that you never saw his lips move!
