Why and how would you do this?
One would advocate that the reason to decant the starter liquid is that most likely your starter wort was nothing like the beer you are pitching into. If you make a 1 L starter and pitch it into 5 gallons of wort (roughly 19 L) thats 5% of your wort ...
She clearly had nowhere to go as the defender was closing in. It looks like she just kicked the ball past the defender and intentionally dove into her to get the foul. The defender also played it pretty poorly and didn't play the ball at all, setting herself up to be vulnerable for such a fou...

I don't think they tell the winner that they won with this show until the final episode though. I think it is a popular vote if my memory is correct. But still, I'd be hiding under a rock for the entire season. I wouldnt be able to keep anything a secret. ...

I will brew the beer this weekend, so I should be good to go in that time frame I suppose. Will have to build up my bugs before pitching though. May even just go the commercial route. ...
I know you don't have one, but fermwraps are ideal for this. It's the reason i brew saison's when its cold outside.
It is frustrating for me at the moment, because I have the equipment to keep it warm, just not the electricity to hook it all up. No place to plug in my chest freeze...

Outside of using a heat wrap thing, how would I raise the temp of a 10 gallon fermentation cube up into the 80's without just putting it outside? Ideas? It is currently in the mid 70's now. This morning I put it in front of a window that gets afternoon sun (cube is non-see thru plastic)...
"frick it, that's too much work"
I fell back into this trap this morning, when I went to add the other lb of cane sugar to the beer. Instead of making a syrup I just dumped dry sugar in. I am of the opinion that it is all the same but I am sure I was suppose to make a syrup, boil ...

Pulling out all the stops today brewing a 10 gal tripel with my dad for Father's day. Went and got RO water, built up as close as I could to Chimay water profile; I paid attention to mash temps, pre boil gravity, etc. Going to make this beer perfect. It's funny to me how I have all this knowledge an...

I just have mine at room temp. Most of mine are fermented with a Saach strain then bugs are added, for the ones I am ageing at least. So I ferment like I would normal beers then add the bugs. I am just pushing them to the side of my beer room. It is kind of warm in there at the moment just due t...

re: Homebrewing: In-Process Thread - Fratastic423
My dad wants to brew a beer with me and my son (not yet 2) on Sunday for father's day. He requested a Belgian Tripel, wants to call it a 3 Generation Tripel. So i did some research on Chimay White Label and put this together: 10 gallons 23.5 lbs Belgian Pilsner (mix of Chateau and Franco-Bel...
You may want to edit the format for the entry form for clash of the carboys. The column for type of hops is too small to write anything into. Also, need a few more lines for hops. Also, there is a line that says WATER TREATMENT Type/Amount and there is only one small line there. No way to...
