re: Ceramic Grills: BGE, Komado Joe, etc... - Fratastic423
I'm not saying BGE is crap. My brother-in-law has one and it's incredible. But if i can get a KJ, that comes with some common sense stuff that BGE should come with as standard considering the price point, then why wouldn't i get a KJ?
Basically what I said when I bought a KJ. ...

re: Zapp's Beerfest Closing at 6 instead of 6:30 - Fratastic423
The cool kids hang out at the homebrew afterparty anyways
Glad you enjoyed it. Always a good time. Seemed like a better time after this year. Maybe it was the weather. And to Bugs original question, I thought it was 6 the whole time. Their Fb event said 6. ...

I prefer the rums of Donner Peltier in Thibodaux over Bayou Rum. I don't think either are great but if I'm buying local. I don't mind Kicking Mule either for a light rum. ...

re: Homebrewing Thread: Volume II - Fratastic423
I built a temp controller with a heat and cool function, then plug a reptile ceramic heating light into the heat outlet. Worked really well when my chest freezer was outside. Now that it is inside I do not really have a use for it. ...

re: Homebrewing Thread: Volume II - Fratastic423
I have no idea what I am going to brew for Zapp's. I was thinking about brewing a lager of some sorts for the house, so maybe I will just make 10 gallons of that. And Boo, who cares what you call it for Zapp's. Just think of some stupid Punny name and go with it. ...

re: Homebrewing Thread: Volume II - Fratastic423
I understand the desire to move to small batches, but pulling out my brewing equipment for 2.5 gallons is just as much work as pulling it out for 10 gallons. I have two small kegs, I have small carboys; so I have started just splitting the batches for different variations. I brewed 10 gallons ...
