Going to New Orleans for work and we have a dinner meeting at Mr Bs next Monday night.
What do you recommend? I've heard the BBQ shrimp are a must try and we normally just order a shite load of dishes and share so please give me a few to try.
Please don't recommend going somewhere else, the account we are taking out picked this and reservations are made. We are going here, period

I usually get the Gumbo ya ya or soup 1-1-1 for appetizer.
I am partial to the Rabbit for my entree.
Lot of people like Pork chop for entree and the duck springrolls for app.

I have only eaten there at lunch time (I'm partial to the $1.50 Bloody Marys served during lunch hours) and have had the BBQ Shrimp. It was good but also messy. They give you a bib, but I couldn't help thinking that I had spattered sauce over everybody in the restaurant. I didn't feel so bad about it because so many other people were eating the same thing.

Gumbo Ya-Ya is not to be missed. Only place in town I order gumbo. It's the gold standard in NOLA. IMO

I love the oysters on the half shell app. I like the bbq shrimp and the shrimp and grits, though I'd ask for a little extra sauce for the grits. Very good. They do fish dishes well. If you like rabbit, folks who do enjoy that dish. People also like the duck spring rolls.
