I love how the narrative is changing now about Zimmerman

it seems some might be coming around to accept the self defense explanation, but are now deciding to focus on "stand your ground" and make the hilarious comment that had this been a home invasion, he could have shot and killed him from 10 feet away, but if he shoots point blank while getting his head bashed in, he's a murderer. (comma splice, gfy)

can someone give me an honest, logical answer as to why people still ignore what the facts have shown to most likely be true? don't say race or emotions, I want clear logic to back up this point of view. when (if) these people take a second to think about this logically, do they immediately let their race, emotions, or agenda distort their conclusion? do they focus too much on emotion and "togetherness" and let that prevent them from thinking logically?

I just don't get it. I just keep feeling this has to be 100% an act to fuel racial tensions.

I wondered from the beginning if that had a part in it. Young kid finds himself being followed by a creepy looking guy, what's he going to think? Trayvon may have decided to do some fig bashing that night.

I don't think that would ever have crossed my mind. Mugging, PI, someone joking with me, coincidence...but rape?

We all tend to do this. One could argue that you are doing this in this thread. You took the facts of the case and came to the conclusion that it must have been self defense. The jury felt the same way. There is nothing to prove it was self defense. So there has to be another side to the argument. Some looked at the case and the same way you came to your conclusion they came to the conclusion that T. Martin was murdered.

The funny part is you are accusing these people of playing the race card but you seem to be using it yourself. These people couldn't just be laying out another possible scenario, they just are obviously tied up in racial emotions or some type of agenda.

but rape?

Rape is too strong a word. He may have thought Zimmerman was trying to hit on him.

Since Toddy should pop in here any time now, I saw this on the OT and it immediately made me think of him. Not sure why.
