Should be interesting. They need to call her back regardless of their vote.

So, 5th Amendment rights are subject to a majority vote?

!?make it does difference What

Should should do a poll as well

My shot in the dark guess is that her 5th stands and Issa et al have to get back to work to find another angle.

Well, she waived them when she made a statement declaring she'd committed no crimes.

You don't get to have your say, then refuse to answer someone else.

It seems they'll vote but they won't hold a hearing.

Right now Issa isn't looking too good. He's treading carefully.

She voluntarily waived them. Should've just kept her piehole shut altogether.

From where I sit, she's damn lucky to even be getting a vote on it.

No, but when you are before congress you can't selectively exercise the rights. You must either stay silent or answer questions. You can't pick and choose what questions you want to answer. When Lerner went before congress last time she made a statement proclaiming her innocence. That statement likely voided her right to remain silent. She chose to speak so now she will have to answer questions or be held in contempt.

Seems some People want their Cake & Ice Cream too. Lerner is wanting both without question.
It's quite shameful a person who is paid and works for the People doesn't answer to the People.

Working for the IRS I am sure she is accustomed to having her cake and eating it too....

BTW, you nailed it as it relates to the accountability issue.

So since she made a statement and selectively used her 5th Ammendment rights, her plea may be not be valid?

If that's true, she ended up getting some really crappy legal advice and should have shut her mouth.

When she gave testimony, she gave up her 5th.

If she has to testify she'll just say, "I don't recall" a hundred times. Hillary schooled her.

It's equally or more shameful that a large portion of "the People" either don't know or don't care that this shite is going on.

That House panel doesn't have the authority to deny Ms. Lerner her Fifth Amendment rights.

They cannot deny them, they can rule that she waived them and has to testify. If she refuses to cooperate, she can be held in Contempt of Congress. Hope this bitch rots in hell
